Pyramid Point

It is a gorgeous weekend and we decided to take advantage of living in the ultimate Michigan vacation destination.  We took a hike around Pyramid Point and then spoiled our dinner with some Moomers Ice Cream.

Memorial Day Weekend

On Memorial Day weekend Uncle Dave, Aunt Julie, Jack and Luke came to visit.  Evelyn just loved having cousins to play with.  I didn't get any pictures of the playing, but I did take a couple before they left.

Mother's Day 2012

On Mother's Day weekend Gran and Papa came to visit/babysit.  And even though it was Mother's Day Evelyn got the most gifts.  Gran and Papa brought a highchair and crib for Evie's babies.  The highchair was made for Gran by her grandfather when she was a toddler and the crib was made for Great-grandma by a neighbor when she was a toddler.  So these are some very special toys that have been played with and loved for lots of years and generations.

Gran and Papa also brought Evie her own rocking chair.  This chair used to belong to Gran and though the bell is long gone Evie still loves to sit and rock!

Visit in Early May

Back in early May we made a visit across the state to Grandma Lucy and Grandpa Jim's.  While we were there we got to play outside with Daddy's cousin, Kaitlyn and she was showing Evie how to hula hoop.

Evie watched how Kaitlyn wiggled...

she tried it herself...  

then she stole both hula hoops and ran off

Evelyn got to see and touch her first toad (notice Momma was not touching the toad)

and Evie discovered it did not taste good at all, "yuck."

Great spring trip to see Grandma Lucy and Grandpa Jim!
