I had a real shock this week when Evelyn's new clothes arrived and all of her new pajamas have grippers on the bottom of the footies. We've had a busy month, Evie is now crawling and pulling herself up into a standing position on anything and everything. She now has two teeth and is chewing any anything she can get in her mouth, including the coffee table.
We were hoping to meet all of my extended family in Ohio this past month, but Dan got a horrible cold, then I got it, and now Evie is still getting over it. Evie did have a great nine month well-baby check-up. The only shot she had to get this time was her flu vaccine and she still surprises the nurses at how little she fusses. She's such a happy little girl!
Evie is getting more and more adventurous with her eating. The only baby food she eats is baby cereal. Other than that we just mash or grind up whatever we're having and she eats that. In fact it is getting harder to get her to eat her cereal.

In August, Aunt Abby and Uncle Max came up for a quick weekend visit. Luckily Evie is getting over the screaming at people stage so we had a great visit. Evie just loved sitting with Aunt Abby and eating oranges. Food and toys may just be the key to her heart.

About the only way to keep Evelyn still is to give her a book. Her favorites are the touch and feel animal books, kitten and puppies in particular.

We really got to enjoy Grandma and Grandpa this summer. And Evie is definitely learning the benefits of making friends with them.

I took this about two days before she started standing up in her crib. I just love the "get me out of here" look.
