Happy Easter!

We started out our Easter Weekend festivities with a visit from Aunt Abby and Uncle Max!

They got to read lots of books...

play some hide and seek...

and do a little bit of peeking.

They left Saturday morning and we needed to get our eggs colored. We tried Stephanie's idea of using a wisk for Evelyn to dip the eggs with, but she was more interested in playing in the dye, maybe next year.

She did enjoy watching the process and seeing the bright colored eggs when I pulled them out.

Big excitement!

The Easter Bunny came while we were at church on Sunday morning and Evie got a lot of candy in her basket.

Grandpa and Grandma came on Sunday as well and she got to share her candy and toys with them.

It was a bit breezy, but we did get a quick family picture.

Evelyn even posed for a quick minute in her Easter outfit before changing her clothes to hunt for Easter eggs.

Then the egg hunting began.

One of our neighbors made Evie a cute little purse that, with Grandma's help, worked well to carry the eggs.

Ripley had to get in on the egg action as well.

(Ripley is on a diet, can you tell?)

Her purse couldn't hold all the eggs, so Grandma helped empty the purse partway through the hunt.

After the hunt we had a big Easter dinner and finished the day with some Bunny Bottom cake. (I got the idea to make this from Pinterest)
