Busy Baby Girl

I had to actually look at my last post to see what the last thing was I posted because it has been so long since I've updated the blog. Wow! Evie is changing so much every day that I can't believe how different she seems now than she did just those few weeks ago.

We made our first two road trips, one to each set of Grandparents. We had our first family photo shoot in Bad Axe, but the only picture that I took of Evie was of her and Grandpa during naptime.

I did take a couple of pictures during the car ride, but they were of the poor puppy who didn't like getting bumped from the his spot on the back seat. On the way to Bad Axe Ripley rode in the front with Dan.

For some reason this seemed to cause a lot of anxiety so we tried letting him ride next to Evie on our way home from Alpena and this seemed to help, but he still seemed to think he should have the whole seat to himself.

We had a lot of fun on both of our trips. Evie is going through a mama's girl stage so she wasn't the friendliest, especially away from home. I'm sure that the time is coming when she's going to want nothing to do with me so I'm enjoying the time I have now when all she wants is me.

Between trips Evie was sick with RSV. She is fine now, but she had some rough days with a stuffy nose and cough. But after several trips to the doctor she was on the mend by her four month check-up and is all better now.

Her four month check-up went great! The doctor says she's growing well. I was excited to start giving Evie food, but the doctor thinks it would be better to wait until she's a bit older. She's not sleeping through the night anymore because she's getting hungry, but since she's just waking up once during the night I figure we can wait a bit more.

We got out Evie's highchair and have been practicing sitting there through dinner. She also gets to sit there on her own to talk to Grandpa and Grandma on the computer.

Evie is getting so big and getting so interested in toys. It is so fun to watch her discover new and different things. One of her favorites lately has been her Bebe Pod.

Cute story for this next picture...
I was checking my email the other day and Evie as sitting in her bouncy seat babbling to herself. She got very quiet for a few moments and I looked over and saw this..

The look on her face says just how proud she was to get her sock and bootie off all by herself.
