Spring!, Easter and then some

This is going to be a catch up post once again. So enjoy the pictures!

After a very long and cold winter, it was finally warm enough in April to get out and play.

Evelyn picked out her own helmet this year and got a very cool unicorn.

Simon is more interested in moving the cones than looking at the camera.

We even got Daddy in on the action when he got home from work.

We spent Easter in Bad Axe and Gran was very prepared for coloring the Easter eggs.

There were even pre-coloring popsicles and cookies.

Egg coloring is very serious business and of course we had to have the perfect shade of green.

Simon thought it would be fun to play with the eggs so he got plastic eggs to play with instead.

Evelyn had to keep a close eye on Gran to make sure she was doing it right.
All decked out in our Easter best!
Pre church pictures did not go as well, we tried to get the kids to sit next to their new Easter friends.

Evelyn and her big pink bunny.

and together.

By Mother's Day it had warmed up slightly, but not enough to have anything green or growing in the yard.

Kids and I after church.

Grandpa Jim pushing Evelyn on the swing set.

Evelyn pushing Simon with Ripley supervising.
Mother's Day weekend also brought Simon's first hair cut.

Showing Grandma Lucy where it needs cut.

Little trim around the ears.

Almost done.
Things finally started to warm up around Memorial Day.

Milk, crackers, books, and my hat, what could be better.

Bring on the balance bike!

Simon and his race car!

Evelyn had a friend with a pirate themed birthday part and being my girl she had to dress appropriately.

June has brought us a few days that were almost warm enough for the sprinkler and since Daddy had just over seeded the lawn it was a good time to water it.

Evelyn remembered the fun from last year.

Simon was not so sure

Simon followed Evelyn, but kept his distance at the same time.

Simon found his own entertainment by feeding Ripley sticks.

We have been visiting a variety of playgrounds in the area trying to find our favorite.

Evelyn found a horse just like the one at my elementary school playground.

Ready, Set, SLIDE

Simon found a beach at this playground.

Beaches have rocks!

Toes in the sand!

Simon likes to "zing."

Simon's Christmas gift finally got put to use

Contrary to his look, he loves it!

Coming soon… Aunt Abby comes to visit!
